At Burston, we believe in getting it right for every child. Children’s rights and wellbeing are central to our approach, and we place a strong emphasis on nurture. We know that when children feel safe, happy and included, they flourish—academically, socially and emotionally.
We encourage our learners to be independent thinkers, reflective learners, and responsible citizens. Every decision we make is guided by what is best for our children. If you have any questions—no matter how big or small—please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

What people say about BurstonTivetshall
Staff were incredibly welcoming and supported my child when having a show round. The school felt like a happy and safe place to learn. Myself and child felt like part of the community. The schools planning and curriculum were impressive and we loved the curiosity approach. The children all seemed individual- no one child were the same.
I couldn't have picked a more wonderful school for my daughter. It's like one big family and everyone makes you feel so welcome. The staff have been amazingly supportive since she has started for my daughter and whole family on facing some challenging times.
What I love most about Burston is that at break there is no age difference. Year 6’s play alongside Reception children.
Burston Primary School makes me feel happy. I was welcomed when I came and now I feel I belong. I come to school and achieve which makes me feel proud.
At Burston Primary School we make our MARK. We are Motivated, Ambitious, Resilient and Kind. We have lots of events like a mini-marathon, visiting the Norfolk Show and my favourite is when we invite our families to Christmas Dinner! Also, the learning is unimaginably good! If you’re looking for a school for your child Burston is the place!
Teachers at Burston help me by supporting me to work it out. If I get stuck they find a different way to teach me to help me understand.
Our son loves his school and from our perspective as parents, the combination of skilled staff and the real sense of community, has made Burston a really safe place for him to begin his education.
